OVERVIEW

This is a demanding but rewarding role with full responsibility for the overall service in your chalet. This host will deliver a first class hospitality service, creating unique and memorable holiday experiences for every client. In addition providing full support to the private chef at breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner service. Some support driving will also be required.

 

This position requires the ability to think ahead, provide a service before the guest makes the request and to anticipate events before they happen. Most importantly, you must exhibit the ability to discreetly serve guests in a luxury manner adapting to each guest requirements of service.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE HOST

  • Overall presentation of the Lodge
  • Cleanliness and tidiness throughout the property with main emphasis on Housekeeping and Laundry control (bed-linen laundry is outsourced)
  • Assisting the chef with guest service of meals (breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and dinner)
  • Assisting with service of drinks, cocktails and having an understanding of what is available
  • Assisting with general chores in the kitchen and recycling
  • Assisting clients generally and answering any queries and provision of ‘in resort’ concierge services
  • Supporting and assisting each member of the chalet teams in their individual roles
  • Polishing of glassware, crockery and cutlery
  • Support to sister chalets where required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE HOST

This role would suit individuals with the following skill set:

  • Previous luxury hospitality experience in Villas, Chalets, Hotels and/or Yachting.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Keen eye for presentation and detail
  • Age 23plus and or minimum 3 years driving experience (for insurance purposes)
