We are recruiting for a host/chauffeur couple to work in a private chalet in Meribel for the winter season. The chalet is used predominantly by the owners who are a very nice family. They are easy to look after, quite self-sufficient and know the chalet and the resort very well. The chalet is also rented out to a luxury operator who bring a full team to service the week they come, so in these weeks you will work in defined roles within the team under their direction They deal with all the pre-holiday guest liaison and host the guests.

You will be employed on a French contract essentially employment at 10 Euros per hour basic gross pay for a 35-hour week for the whole season. We provide accommodation with utilities included and overtime is required and paid in line with French employment regulations.

In the context of a rented week the staff's main responsibilities will be:

- to prepare the chalet for the start of the rental, to have everything clean, well ordered and prepped ready for the operator to move in and set up for their guests.

- to attend a briefing meeting just prior to each rental and to generally build and maintain a constructive working relationship with the operator’s staff in resort

- to carry out their roles during the week as required by the operator on a pre-set rota (which will be a 48-hour week, overtime is paid)

- to manage stocks of logs, cleaning materials, table linens, house wines and soft drinks stocks & some dry stores. (the operator bring their chefs, do all the food shopping, bring in their own bed linen, towels, robes and toiletries. Table linen, cleaning clothes uniforms & guest personal laundry is done in-house. All other laundry is sent out)

- to be our eyes and ears to make sure that the chalet is looked after to our standards during a rental.
