Are you starting to think about finding a new and exciting role for the summer? We are starting to get new villa roles across the Mediterranean, so now is a great time to apply!

Generally, we look for chefs that have previous experience of working in a private setting such as a chalet, villa or yacht. Here is a typical job description; so if you’re looking for some guaranteed sunshine this summer, we could have the role for you:

Responsibilities

  • You will typically be looking after the eating requirements of 6-14 guests, with occasional larger events.
  • There will be differing dietary requirements within the group, so you will cater to diverse requests including all intolerances and allergies
  • Typically, you would be working alongside a team including a Host
  • You will ensure the kitchen and work areas are organized, clean and meet health and hygiene standards
  • You’ll be flexible in your role as a team to constantly develop and evolve the delivery of the dining experience
  • You must are friendly, courteous and professional in dealing with guests

The ideal candidate

  • You must be able to drive
  • You must be capable of being creative with your menus and able to cater to different requirements
  • You will be cooking for guests with high expectations and your skills must be good, and you must have a lot of knowledge about food
  • It is important that you already have a good portfolio of food photos of your own cooking, as well as plenty of excellent references from private clients working in similar roles
