Chalet Chef/Host / Couples

Our guests have been looking forward to their ski holiday for a long time, and it's your responsibility to make sure their memories of the chalet are wonderful. You'll create a welcoming environment, provide fantastic meals and go the extra mile to make our guests feel special.

What we're looking for:

Professional, friendly and adaptable staff who have a passion for cooking and entertaining. You'd be looking after up to 10 people in your own chalet or up to 16 as a pair so you have to be up for a challenge! Chalet Hosting is not for the faint-hearted so candidates with catering experience & great personalities only please!

Your responsibility:

For six days a week you'll provide a delicious and prompt cooked breakfast, bake tempting cakes for afternoon tea and prepare three delectable courses for our guests' evening meal. Of course the food has to be excellent, but it is the service that keeps our guests coming back for more; we expect our staff to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and relaxed. It goes without saying that the chalet has to be spotless and efficiently run. You'll work closely with the Chalet Manager whose job it is to ensure our standards are kept high.

Skills and experience:

- You should be professional, highly organised, work to high standards and have an eye for detail
- You will be a real foodie and enjoy experimenting with new recipes and flavours
- Relevant catering and cleaning experience is a definite advantage - chalet hosting is hard work!
- You must hold a valid British/EU passport and National Insurance number
NB: We don't have vacancies for non-catering hosts

Chalet Support

Our Chalet Supports could also be called Super-Hosts as they step in and save the day if a Chalet Host is ill or injured. They seamlessly provide the same high level of service to our guests as their host would, so need to be confident, organised and capable in the kitchen as well as sociable and hospitable to our loyal customers. At times when you are not covering in a chalet, you would be working on a rota to help out around the resort, so need to be flexible and enthusiastic at getting stuck in with the task in hand.

What we're looking for:

Passionate cooks who are willing, naturally helpful and not afraid of hard work. The nature of this job means that you'll need to be flexible enough to make yourself home in any kitchen and quickly make the guests feel welcome and comfortable whilst cooking up a delicious, top quality meal. You'll probably have already spent time working in a chalet or another catering environment.

Your responsibility:

Whilst working on a rota you'll be an extra pair of hands for the Chalet Manager, helping Chalet Hosts with their daily tasks, or assisting with shopping or cleaning. You will be expected to assume the role of Chalet Host in the event of illness or injury, stepping in to cook, clean and host in a chalet, often at short notice so you'll need to be a very confident cook.

Skills and experience:

  • You should be a willing person who is able to adapt quickly and cheerfully
  • You'll need strong catering skills, probably with previous season or catering experience
  • You should have held a driving licence for more than two years
  • You must hold a valid British/EU passport and NI number
