We are looking for an experienced, proactive, friendly and enthusiastic couple (or two friends) to work as housekeeper/nanny and cook in a private chalet in Les Allues, Meribel which is home to a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 young children aged 12,9, 6 and 3 years).
You will be responsible for keeping the chalet clean & tidy, doing laundry/ironing, preparing afternoon tea and an evening meal for kids & parents and assisting parents with childcare.
Your duties will include:
Your working hours will usually be 7:45-10:30am and 5-8:30/9pm daily Monday - Friday plus a full day on Saturday - flexible times depending on kids/family activities & work commitments.
Babysitting two evenings a week.
Sunday is the usual full day off.
Total hours 30-35 hours per person per week.
Ideally one candidate will be the housekeeper & help with childcare & the other candidate the cook who is happy to share the cleaning & childcare tasks as required. You must be happy to work together but also separately as work timetable requires.
Housekeeping experience essential for the housekeeping candidate. Previous chalet hosting & childcare experience preferred, preferably in a private chalet as opposed to a client chalet.
Housekeeping candidate must be meticulous, detailed, conscientious, proactive, self-directed (see something & get it sorted), personable/friendly & enthusiastic.
The cook/chef candidate must be an excellent and passionate cook with experience catering for nut & allium allergies & dietary requirements. We like fresh, healthy, modern food and one parent is a vegetarian so you must be able to handle diverse requirements.
The children have a wide age range (from 3-12 years) so you must be confident around children, enjoy their company, be fun and kind but firm.
You must be energetic, outgoing, willing and able to keep up with a busy, noisy household of 2 adults with 4 children.
You must have a UK NI number & EU passport (or the relevant work/travel visa). You must have a clean driving license.
