We are looking for a Chalet chef due to an injury. The position is for one of our SnowEden new build chalets in Montchavin. With access to the La Plagne ski area and right next to the Vanois Express you can ski the full Paradiski area including Les Arcs.

The role requires someone with proven catering experience; hospitality experience; demonstrating high standards of cleanliness and presentation; excellent communication and customer service skills; fun and outgoing personality with a flexible attitude

 This role is an integral part of the 'chalet experience'. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, preparing breakfasts and afternoon teas of freshly baked cakes and a creative 4 course evening meal on 6 nights".  

Above all else, we ask of you to provide the highest levels of customer service are achieved and maintained at all times; thereby allowing our guests to have a wonderful and enjoyable week.

From our team, we expect an attitude whereby “Nothing is too much trouble”.

You will be required to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest standard of food production and presentation.
  • To do all the shopping for food and domestic stuffs for your chalet
  • Menu design and planning
  • Provide  breakfast, freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea, canapés and three/four course evening meals on 6 nights
  • Ensure that all guests’ dietary requirements are understood and catered for
  • Prepare children’s early dinner when required
  • Assist in keeping your chalet clean and tidy at all times creating a warm, friendly environment
  • Be responsible for all budgeting in your chalet
  • Be responsible for reporting overall basic maintenance within the chalet


Abilities and expectations

  • Good Team player
  • Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills
  • Good self motivation and able to work on own initiative
  • Organised, highly flexible and pro-active


  • Recognised catering qualification or extensive experience
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience with a qualification or 2 years without a qualification
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience (desirable)
