Chalet Host Role Profile Roles and responsibilities

  • Serving breakfast, afternoon tea, and 4-course evening meals in accordance with the set-menu plan.

  • Assisting the chef with food preparation as required.

  • Assisting the chef with keeping the kitchen clean during meal service such as washing up and taking the bins out.
  • Cleaning of all bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas daily as required, and a full chalet change over on a weekly basis (usually Sunday)

  • Undertake any additional duties that may be asked of you to ensure the smooth running of the chalet such as shopping, snow clearing, and escorting guests to ski school.

  • Show awareness at all times ensuring that the chalet meets health and safety requirements.

  • Above all else, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are achieved and maintained at all times, and ensuring that our guests have a wonderful and enjoyable week in your company.

    Location and hours

  • We currently operate four chalets in Chatel, and you will probably be asked to work in each of them during the season.

  • Working hours will be approximately 7/8 hours a day 6 days a week. Flexibility will be required to ensure the demands of the guests are met.

  • 10th December 2017 10th April 2018

    Training

  • Training will be provided pre and during the season to ensure you are comfortable in your role.

  •  It is your responsibility to ask for additional training if you feel it is required.

Package

  • Travel to and from resort

  • Accommodation in the staff apartment in Chatel

  • Food and drink provided when ever on duty

  • Chatel ski pass

  •  Ski and boot hire

  • Weekly salary paid fortnightly

  • 500 pounds end of season bonus based on completion of the season and satisfactory performance

  • Other income can be achieved through tips and overtime babysitting work
