A luxurious boutique chalet situated in the centre of Samoens is looking to recruit a well presented, enthusiastic host to become a valued member of their team. 

Our guests benefit from high end services in a cosy and contemporary atmosphere. As a highly personal, extremely flexible and well informed host you will work alongside the chef and be on hand to offer an individually tailored approach to every aspect of our clients’ stay. We are looking for someone with impeccable customer service skills and who will thrive in the role as a host. Your principal role will be serving a fine dining menu to our guests. This will include breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés with aperitif and a four course dinner with a selection of wines.

The Property sleeps a maximum of twelve and is booked on a nightly as well as a weekly basis. Therefore, you will be flexible and have the ability to adapt to meet these requirements. You will be key in ensuring each of our guests expectations are exceeded in the provision of their stay at the property. The company has a professional and experienced Manager who lives year round in resort and will be on hand to provide you with comprehensive training and support you in your role as Host.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ●  Be punctual for work, dressed in the full uniform and be presentable

  • ●  Liaise daily with the Manager and chef to discuss daily guests’

    requirements .

  • ●  Dress tables as directed for the service to be undertaken.

  • ●  Work in collaboration with the Chef and host a discreet breakfast service.

  • ●  Anticipate and serve guest requirements before requests are necessary.

  • ●  Maintain a neat and organised work area, kitchen work area, including linens, china,

    glassware, silverware, tea and coffee station and table condiments.

  • ●  Complete the opening and closing of the service you are delivering, ensuring the

    dining room is clean and where necessary prepare for the following service.

  • ●  Assist the chef with general tidying of the kitchen area.

  • ●  Be punctual for afternoon tea service.

  • ●  Prepare the dining room for dinner service.

  • ●  Greet guests with canapés, aperitifs, wine or champagne before returning to the

    dining area to serve dinner.

  • ●  Serve cheese and coffee in downstairs Salon.

  • ●  Prepare dining room for breakfast service.

  • ●  Advise manager of any complaints so they can be rectified immediately.

  • ●  Solicit feedback from guests regarding meal, atmosphere, etc.

  • ●  Observe all areas which have a direct effect on each guest's experience.

  • ●  Drop off and collect guests from ski lifts

  • ●  Assist housekeeping with laundry duties, this will include ironing table linen and uniforms and keeping laundry flowing at all times. Folding and storing correctly towels and teatowels and dropping off or collecting bed linens from local laundry service.

  • ●  Assist with upkeep and daily maintenance of hot tub

  • ●  Assist with keeping outdoor areas of the villa clean and tidy.

  • ●  Check in and check out, taking payments and providing invoices where necessary.

  • ●  Upkeep and cleaning of shared guests areas including dusting, vacuuming, and

    window cleaning

  • ●  Inventory taking and restocking

  • ●  Observing and reporting damages immediately

    REQUIREMENTS

  • ●  Previous hostess experience either in a fine dining establishment or high end ski chalet/hotel.

  • ●  Possess excellent customer service skills.

  • ●  Possess a full, valid and clean drivers license for a minimum of 3 years. Must be valid

    to drive in europe.

  • ●  Show a level of flexibility and adaptability to meet the requirements of the role.

  • ●  Conversational French

  • ●  Hold a UK Bank account and National Insurance Number.
