Resort Manager

We have a rare opportunity to be involved in the most exciting collaboration in the luxury ski industry. As our TLB Resort Manager, you would be responsible for managing GC Kollection ’s two unique chalets and their new 6 chalet residence, Black Diamond. 

We are looking for an energetic and proactive individual who can join our team as soon as possible and work alongside our management team to drive the preparation and opening of the resort for Winter 2018-19. You would then be a crucial part in team training before managing the day to day operation of all properties in resort for the season. This opportunity will evolve into a full time role upon successful completion of  the Winter 2018-19 season, seeing the candidate continue into the summer season and become more involved with company operations such as recruitment and maintenance.

Previous seasonal management experience is a must and the successful candidate will be competent/fluent in French with a strong understanding of property management and team leadership. This will be a challenging but diverse position with genuine career development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Operations manager, would hold responsibility for operations, guest experience, team management and administration in Tignes Le Brevieres
  • Work with the management team to develop robust operational foundations pre winter 
  • Build strong relationships and contracts with local suppliers with commercial consideration
  • Play a significant role in the organisation and delivery of seasonal in resort training
  • Manage a Catered and Non-Catered residence made up of 6 independant Luxury Chalets in addition to overseeing the Management of 2 additional Luxury Chalet properties within the same resort
  • Manage and mentor the seasonal team through performance management, ensuring there is ongoing training and team motivation
  • Forecast and highlight resource needs across the resort both in terms of the seasonal team and maintenance requirements
  • Liaise with concierge team to ensure all elements of clients stay are in place
  • Financial  and administrative accountability for damage deposits and in resort expenses

Skills & Experience

  • Previous winter season management and resort management experience with a passion for the luxury ski industry
  • Confidence in delivering 5* Food & Beverage service
  • Experience in managing and training seasonal teams with strong people management skills and the ability to motivate teams
  • Flexible, positive and proactive with an ability to cope well with varied and changing tasks and environments.
  • Confidence in property, pool and spa management and basic maintenance
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills - proficient in English and French
  • Organised and well-presented with an excellent eye for detail
  • Full driving license and confident driving a minibus in winter conditions
  • EU Passport and/or the right to live and work in France
