CHALET HOST: 

We are recruiting Chalet Hosts to work in St Anton and Courchevel 1850. 

 

WHO ARE WE? 

Kaluma Travel is a small, luxury tour operator, focussed on our specialist regions of St Anton and Courchevel 1850. As an owner-managed company we have built a loyal following of clients that appreciate our stunning properties and unique in-resort concierge service. 

In our staff we look for professionals who believe in a positive “can do” attitude, exceeding expectations and going that little bit further to provide a level of service that makes a difference.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION: 
As our most guest facing position, Chalet Host’s are arguably the face of the company, interacting with guests on a daily basis and delivering Kaluma’s personal service-style for which we are known. We look for enthusiastic candidates, with can-do attitudes and a desire to ensure every guest has the holiday of a lifetime. 

Chalet Hosts are responsible for the day-to-day running of all front-of-house duties, carried out with the upmost professionalism. They will have an extensive background in hospitality (be it experience in the luxury chalet market, super-yachts, event catering, silver service, hotel services or fine-dining-waiting), a strong work ethic, a desire to go that extra mile, a real passion for the mountains and the ability to work with a smile on their face!

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service: The set up and service of breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal.
  • Housekeeping: Maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the chalet, including daily cleaning of guest bedrooms, bathrooms and all communal areas, including toilets, living rooms and wellness areas.
  • Guest relations: Socialising with chalet guests, offering resort knowledge and creating an ambiance in the chalet where the guests feel welcome and relaxed at all times

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A background in high-end hospitality  
  • Previous summer / winter season experience
  • A desire to deliver a luxury product and work in a professional environment
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • UK or EU passport, a National Insurance Number, UK bank account
  • Full clean driving license. (Preferable but not essential)
