We are currently looking for talented, organised, customer service chefs for the remainder of the winter season based in 3Valleys, French Alps. We are looking for an experienced fine dining chef, however, the overwhelming requirement is the ability to offer the service and care that our guests have come to expect (alongside gifted catering!).
You will be responsible for the day to day running of your chalet kitchen ensuring that all aspects of your guest’s food within the chalet run smoothly & efficiently.
The Chef will be responsible for preparing meals for guests according to their requirements. Our guests pay for the food at cost at the end of the week (chefs are not constrained to cooking to a budget) so the menus that they design suit individual guests' needs. So the chef needs to be flexible, experienced and creative as each week can present a different challenge. The job includes budgeting, shopping, preparing, and cooking for guests for breakfast, afternoon tea, evening meal and on occasion preparing lunch. Although experience and qualifications are very important, a love of cuisine, exceptional hygiene and a flexible attitude are essential for this role.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the chalet kitchen is spotless and well maintained. Customer service and hospitality experience are clearly vital skills; along with a mature, caring attitude that shows that nothing is too much trouble for your guests.
The successful candidates will have great customer service skills, excellent catering experience, and be well-versed in front of house and kitchen hygiene. You will need a European passport, UK NI Number and EHIC card.
