We are recruiting for a chef to work within our kitchen team to cover the busy restaurant for any period the head chef is not present. To manage the team in their absence, taking responsibility for hygiene, food production and plating, maintaining the standards set by the head chef and to liaise with the management of the hotel. This is an exciting role with potential for huge development and learning the ‘ins and outs’ of the higher kitchen roles in a safe, busy environment which can happily achieve 200 covers over 3 services per day. Fundamental roles: • Taking on any role of the head chef when they are absent • Responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen • Responsible for filling out all kitchen paperwork i.e. temperature charts, cleaning schedules etc. • Working in tandem with the head chef to produce an exciting new menu • Training and supervise more junior staff in the kitchen aiding their development and growth in tandem with the head chef. • Providing a high level of service to guests adhering to dietary requirements and individual needs as well as providing staff meals for all center staff • Assist the head chef or take responsibility in their absence for all food ordering and supplier liaisons Essential skills: • Very able and confident chef with plentiful catering experience • Excellent adherence to health, safety and hygiene requirements • Monitoring portion and waste control to ensure minimal wastage • Ambition and flair to bring your own experience to a busy and thriving restaurant to increase revenue and customer satisfaction • Excellent work ethic, reliable and a team player The staff package: • Return Flights • Transfers • Employee insurance • Staff uniform • Shared Accommodation (staff house) • Three meals a day at the Club • Salary: £TBC basic per week paid into your UK bank AC. • One day off per week • Use of all the Sports equipment • Staff discount on food, Beverages, and club Vass shop goods.
