Job Description

To take sole ownership of the Childcare service offered as part of our Winter and Summer programmes, including day to day operations and long-term development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with both the Sales and Operations Teams regarding childcare provisions
  • Training of the Sales Team and authorisation of special Childcare requests
  • Staff recruitment for the childcare team and other staff within the overseas team.
  • Staff mentoring and nurturing (many nannies have limited experience of travel and living away from home)
  • Design and implementation of training course for Overseas staff, including design of staff manual and sourcing and engaging external trainers
  • Overseeing delivery of the Childcare programme in resort, including adherence to Company and Child Welfare policies. Review as necessary, to provide a safe and fun environment for children from 3 months to 12 years, ensuring they continue to enjoy the high levels of care for which the company is renowned.
  • Take responsibility for all guests travelling with children, and liaise directly with all guests who have booked the Childcare service to ensure all reasonable needs are met and delivered in resort
  • Collate and monitor feedback to implement change, and deal effectively with complaints
  • Review and set annual budgets
  • Control of budgets with total responsibility for procurement of Childcare supplies
  • Ongoing monitoring and review of Childcare programme, to work towards long term goals and continually improve the service
  • Collate and prepare sales and service data for Directors
  • Airport duties on transfer day

 

Key skills

  • Significant childcare experience
  • Experience with a Tour Operator
  • Proven team management experience
  • Can work independently and autonomously
  • Able to prioritise conflicting demands and manage time effectively
  • Warm, caring and willing to promote Nannies’ personal development
  • Confident communicator, with excellent phone manner
  • Happy to be based both in the UK (in summer) and in France (in the winter)
  • Experience of finance, budget control and Health and Safety and Child Welfare Regulations
  • Flexible to take on any duty as requested, even outside immediate remit
