What you will be doing:

  • You’ll work with the team to resolve issues before customers travel to ensure they always get what they have booked or requested
  • You’ll deliver personalised welcomes before customers arrive or in person when in resort
  • You’ll use Twitter and Flickr to chat to customers and post updates on what’s happening in resort
  • You’ll engage with customers throughout their holiday
  • You’ll prepare and create an appetizing daily menu breakfast, afternoon tea & dinner
  • You will carry out daily and weekly deep cleaning in your chalet and ensure you complete all necessary hygiene paperwork
  • You’ll receive & check all food and linen orders
  • You’ll clear any snow or ice from outside you chalet and ensure pathways are safe for customers to use  

 

What type of person are we looking for?

  • You’ll put the customer at the heart of everything you do, have a passion for delivering service, and understand how much having a great holiday means to our customers
  • You’ll have a flair for cooking or a real desire to learn how to cook for large numbers of people – can be up to 14 
  • You have a great eye for spotting dirt, dust and grime and take pride in walking away from a sparkling room – whether that’s the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or toilet!
  • You’re physically fit to carry out the duties of the role – you may be required to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time in order to clean and maintain the chalet.
  • You’re savvy with social media and know how to use a tablet or a smart phone
  • You love learning new skills and you want to work in travel
  • You’re chatty and personable – you build rapport quickly with all types of people of all ages
  • You take pride in your appearance and role and you want to be the best you possibly can be
  • You like being challenged and are not afraid to voice your ideas and creativity
  • You’re passionate about being in the mountains and about the Crystal product. You don’t have to be a skier or boarder but should have an interest in outdoor life or be willing to give it a try
  • You’re resilient with the ability to deal with unexpected setbacks and have a “positive” and “bring it on” attitude to life
  • You’re unflappable in a crisis, can think on your feet and don’t shy away from dealing with customers in difficult situations
  • You are a strong team player and willing to work as part of a wider team and help out across other chalets when needed. You’re proactive and able to check your chalet for maintenance issues and highlight them so that customers enjoy a safe and comfortable environment
  • You’re a strong planner and organiser with the ability to plan for your next changeover day to ensure you are ready for your customers
  • You have a flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
  • Although not essential you can speak or have an interest in learning another language
