We have a great opportunity for an experienced chef to work in a brand new 16-bed luxury chalet in St. Anton this winter season. This role is perfect for a creative and confident chef who wants to make an impression with their stunning food.

The role is both demanding and rewarding in different ways; you will be able to showcase your cooking skills and abilities as well as your team management.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a small team
  • In the chalet each group of up to 16 guests will have different tastes, so you will need to be able to plan and deliver a different menu each week.
  • Preparation of afternoon tea, breakfast, canapés, five course evening meal, in Mountain Spa Residences- delivery of a la carte menu each night.
  • Catering for all guests special dietary requirements and special occasions
  • Catering for children (including early dinners when required)
  • Maintaining food hygiene, general health & safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Kitchen cleanliness & tidiness at all times
  • Assisting with the management of food budgets
  • Assisting with the maintenance of all kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Planning and preparation of staff meals per day
  • Assisting with FOH duties when required
The Ideal Candidate
  • City & Guilds 7061/2, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in professional kitchens preferably to a 3 AA rosette / 1 Michelin star, or have worked previously for luxury chalet companies able to supply excellent references
  • Available for the whole season – December until the end of April
  • UK/EU passport
  • An attitude whereby you go the extra mile
  • An attitude whereby nothing is too much trouble
  • Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills
  • Work independently as well as in a team
  • Good self-motivation
  • Organised, highly flexible and pro-active
  • Ability to remain calm, diplomatic and tactful under pressure
  • Excellent time keeping and reliability
  • Exceptional personal presentation
