Job Title: Freelance IT Trainer Location: Central London (Aldgate) Salary: Competitive Daily Rate Job Type: Freelance Closing date: 11pm Sunday 20th November 2016 Interview Date: Friday 25th November 2016 Our Client is an award winning learning and development organisation. They offer public and private IT Training, as well as soft skills / management events and facilitation. They recently moved into new premises (in Aldgate) where they host their training courses and events. They also run small to medium sized conferences at various locations (mostly around London). They are currently seeking freelance IT trainers to be part of a delivery project for one of their largest corporate clients. Their approach is different to other training providers. For them, training isn't just about being knowledgeable or conveying complicated information. It's about how much you can involve your learners. What they are looking for: They are looking for experienced IT trainers comfortable working in a corporate setting. The project covers training learners on a new bespoke business intelligence reporting platform. You will be part of a team of 20 trainers delivering during a corporate event held in two UK locations in January 2017, and will require overnight travelling (flights). They're not just looking for technical expertise. If you make delegate involvement the focus of your training whilst also making the use of computers engaging - and are determined to provide the very best service to every learner - then please apply. The Project The work will be as follows (please note these dates are now set by the client): 12th - 13th December 2016 Cross Training Session in London 14th December 2016 Prep day (with support) in London 9th January 2017 Travel / Prep day (for Scottish Location) 10th January 2017 Delivery Day (Scotland) As they have a long term relationship with the client, additional dates may be required for the future. They are also looking to extend their list of freelancers (for both projects and non-project work). For trainers who do well, they would hope to build a longer lasting relationship with. IT Trainers are required to be TPMA accredited (by the Learning and Performance Institute). Equivalent accreditations will be considered, as long as you would be Happy to work towards being TPMA accredited. Our Client is a TPMA training and assessment centre, and would support you through this process. Rates: Prep / travel days will be 175 (4 days allocated)Delivery days will be 275 (1 day allocated)Any additional dates need will be charged as per above.Travel, accommodation and meals will be provided. Essential Characteristics: Ability to fully involve learners and train to the standard of TPMA or an equivalent.Experience delivering to corporate clients (Pharmaceutical / Healthcare an advantage)Experience delivering training in bespoke, reporting, data manipulation packages, advanced MS Excel (or equivalent). Ipad / IOS familiarity preferable.Infinite patience: the trainer will never show annoyance or anger with learners or put them down, whatever they do.Excellent communication skills: The ability to avoid un-necessary jargon and explain computers and software in language that a non-technical person can understand.Good social skills: a relaxed and friendly attitude, to enable all learners to feel relaxed and at ease.Performance skills: the trainer should ensure that the learners have an entertaining and enjoyable day.Commitment to our Client's training principles: these are based around a training style that fully involves all delegates, and seeks to realise their learning potential.Flexibility: trainers must be prepared to question their methods, test out new ideas and seek to continually improve their training ability.Interest in the way people learn, and in actively using coaching skills to improve training.Curiosity & Learning ability: trainers must be able to learn new packages at short notice.Course preparation.
