General Manager - Holiday Park Great Yarmouth 50,000 - 55,000 My client, a leading holiday park operator, are currently on the lookout for a General Manager for one of their sites in the Great Yarmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous Management experience in a similar field who is keen to work with a leading, and well-respected Holiday Resort. Make sure you don't miss out and apply now! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CUSTOMER SERVICE To greet & communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner. To promote the company and the Park at all times with a positive approach. Dealing effectively and efficiently with customer comments, whilst following company/park guidelines. To ensure that you meet the company Customer Service standards and aim to exceed all customer expectations. To wear full, clean, pressed company uniform, including name badge at all times. HEALTH & SAFETY The Company operates a Food Safety Policy together with a Health & Safety Policy. These are legal requirements to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees, customers, guests and visitors whilst on company premises. To ensure that you complete the company Health & Safety induction and follow guidelines set. To work in a safe manner, with due diligence towards yourself, colleagues, customers and general public at all times. You must report accidents, incidents and hazards regarding Health & Safety to your Manager immediately. To ensure that fire regulations are adhered to at all times and assist with evacuation procedures, if and when required. ADMINISTRATION It is your responsibility that your timesheet is completed, signed and submitted to your line manager by the end of your shift Sunday, to ensure payment of wages at the end of the month. To ensure that Holiday requests are passed to your line manager for approval, within the required timescale as outlined in the Company Procedure. You must adhere to the company's stock control and cash handling procedures, as instructed by your line manager or duty manager, if applicable. ROLE SPECIFIC General Developing Business Performance: To review and establish new service standards for the Park, determining overall priorities, seeking constant improvement and basing targets upon customer expectations, whilst understanding and delivering the Company policy on service standards To identify and implement new opportunities for greater efficiency and improving performance of the Park To identify ways of ensuring the smooth running of the Park and help achieve positive changes by helping others adapt to new situations. To take control of new situations and pressures that arise by showing persistence, changes priorities and reorganising when required. Focussing on An Effective Operation: To plan the work of the team to meet annual Park targets by prioritising the key tasks and establishing methods that make best use of resources. To address problems that arise through the assimilation of key information to take effective decisions. To understand and apply the key measures of effective business performance for the benefit of the Park. To keep up to date with key legislation and new approaches within the industry to positively effect the business To investigate problems that arise with facilities and equipment on the Park to establish root causes, determine solutions and monitor the progress of the work to ensure swift and safe resolution Ensuring Effective Communication To consider the target audience when communicating and encourage a substantial level of involvement to ensure understanding of issues To put across own views and opinions in a clear and constructive manner in one-to-one and small group situations To build balanced and high performance teams and bring together areas with possible conflicting approaches to work towards common goals To enhance others' performance by giving balanced and constructive feedback to individuals, jointly reviewing and establishing a range of training activities to support their development
