General Manager - Leading Holiday Park

We are recruiting for an experienced General Manager for a highly successful Holiday Park based in Cornwall. The right person will be an enthusiastic and energetic individual who is full of drive and passionate about running a highly successful holiday park. This is a business that revolves around the delivery of excellent customer service over a large complex with multiple revenue streams across lodge sales, holiday bookings, food and beverage and retail.


Job Role:
. To manage all the functions of the role: Club and Retail, Caravan Sales, Administration, Holiday Bookings, Entertainments, Customer Services, Owner Accounts, Accommodation, Maintenance, Security, Sports & Leisure.
. To ensure all Team Members receive timely, appropriate and necessary training or induction to allow them to perform their roles.
. To comply with all Company policies and procedures, for example, delegation of authority, S.A.F.E. child protection, licensing laws, health & safety policy, food safety, caravan sales guidelines


Key Tasks:
. Budget control
. To safeguard all licences on the Park by ensuring that the operation meets the legal requirements
. Prepare and meet annual operating profit targets
. Identify and maximise occupancy of holiday hire fleet
. To identify retail opportunities and maximise spends
. Liaise with the local community, holiday industry and suppliers with a view to improving the effectiveness of the business
. To prepare and submit to the Operations Director schedules in connection with capital projects, winter maintenance, equipment and replacements


Management Responsibility:
. Coach and develop all HOD's and their teams through a process of performance management
. To accept the importance of maintaining and improving standards in the business
. To enlist the appropriate expertise to deal with technical problems
. To contribute actively in teams by building good working relationships with colleagues and other departments
. To prepare, plan and manage a budget for all resources within area of responsibility and to monitor and maintain effective control
