Our Premiere Neige Concierge desk is the in-resort part of our sales and customer service team and the face' of the company. Clients use the desk to check into their properties, book activities and organise important elements of their holiday such as ski hire and lift passes. In addition to the client-facing part of this role, you may also be required to help in the office, answering phones and providing administration support for the management and sales team. Applicants for this role must be very presentable and have good customer service and administration skills. A good knowledge of both spoken and written French is essential.

Leading by example, you will create a professional, efficient, and friendly environment within all areas of the Premiere Neige operation. Display leadership and motivational skills within the Concierge team while ensuring sales and customer service targets are constantly achieved.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not restricted to:

  • To train and motivate your Concierge team to ensure the highest levels of service, organisational skills and standards are constantly maintained throughout the operation
  • To have an excellent working knowledge of the Première Neige booking system
  • Be able to train the Concierge team to utilise the system to ensure that bookings are profitable, and that all guests are offered the extra services provided by Première Neige
  • Drive sales on ski passes, ski tuition and in-house products by setting & monitoring targets and motivating your team to achieve these
  • Train and develop staff knowledge and document this as required to company standards
  • Display excellent customer service and awareness at all times, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service, and continue to develop your Concierge team
  • Reconcile and account for all accounts during working shifts to the company standards
  • Actively report to General Mangers any issues relating to the operation and ideas for improvements
  • Display excellent management skills, being responsible for dealing with any issues in the absence of the General Managers, taking on the role of the 2nd in command
  • Develop positive working relationships with all of our property owners, and get to know each Première Neige property
  • Organise all materials required for the smooth operation of the Concierge in the way of booking forms, accounting processes and information gathering
  • Demonstrate an excellent, overall knowledge of Premiere Neige products to advise our guests, and ensure that the Concierge team are doing the same
  • Develop positive working relationships within all the departments of the Première Neige operation, and also with all of our local suppliers & businesses

The ideal candidate:

  • Attentive, outgoing, friendly & assertive in verbal communication. Excellent appearance & personal grooming
  • Experience in similar standard and size operation of at least 2 years
  • Advanced level of spoken and written French preferable
  • Has proven supervisory / staff management experience
  • Experience with reception duties such as taking bookings, guest contact, and cash handling, phone use, accounting responsibilities
  • Good knowledge in customer service areas and dealing with complaints
  • Computer literate and capable of learning new programs and procedures quickly and accurately
  • Experience with Excel and Word
  • Ability to motivate a team to achieve objectives
  • Enjoys leading by example and training staff
  • Enjoys contact and conversing with a range of guests, is flexible with work hours, and willing to assist in all areas of the operation
  • Is keen to display consistently high levels of service and standards
  • Be a positive and effective communicator within the team and with guests, as well as self-motivated and fun loving
  • The ideal Candidate should be available from mid-October 2018 until the end of April 2019
