This is a rare opportunity with enormous potential for a highly experienced General Manager to join this small and highly regarded park group at an exciting stage in its development. We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to take a large and popular holiday park in Cumbria to the next level. This busy park already has a great reputation for holidaymakers with its fantastic selection of facilities, caravans, lodges and large touring area but the company are looking for an individual who can look at ways to drive both quality and standards up even higher with ways to make caravan ownership even more attractive to potential buyers and realise the huge potential the park has for growth, development and more owner pitches. This role would be ideal for someone who also has the knowledge and experience to help assess what areas can be improved upon and exactly how to action them for the benefit of the park and customers. This really is one of those golden opportunities for a manager who is looking for something more and can really take on this park and see the development opportunities to help the park raise the bar even higher. Key responsibilities In conjunction with the Company Director to prepare, plan and manage a budget for all resources on the park, including capital expenditure and to monitor and maintain effective controlTo safeguard all licences on the park by ensuring that the operation meets the legal requirementsIn conjunction with the Company Director to prepare and meet annual operating profit targetsClosely control all Park expenditure within the agreed budget and profit targetsMaximise the sale of units with due regards to customer satisfaction, value for money and profitability for the CompanyTo identify retail opportunities and maximise customer spend whilst on the parkLiaise with the local community, holiday industry and suppliers with a view to improving the effectiveness of the businessTo protect and maintain the Company's assetsTo develop the sales operation and look at potential improvements to enhance the ownership experience The Person: Previous Park Management experience essential with good all round experience of managing a significant head count in a retail and leisure environmentAn excellent communicator with determination and integrity that can work closely with our customers.A forward thinking problem solver and with an entrepreneurial spirit.
