The Chalet Driver’s main role is to provide a driving service for the chalet by means of delivering an effective and comprehensive driving service, while supporting the rest of the chalet team.
The ideal candidate must:
-be 25 or older
-hold a full clean driving license
-prior UK National Insurance payment history
-have extremely high work standards
-be customer-focused, self motivated, and take pride in their work at all times
-be flexible as the role varies day to day
-be able to demonstrate an ability to drive in potentially difficult situations as well as having a calm disposition.
-be able to fit snow chains prior to starting their contract (training will be provided) and will successfully complete a mandatory medical and training.
-be willing to undertake other duties such as keeping their vehicles clean and tidy, completing daily, weekly and monthly paper work. Some French language would be an advantage though not necessary
Service : General
-Helps create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
-Is available to answer any questions, or resolve any problems that the guests may have, always aiming to do whatever they reasonably can to ensure that guests have the best possible skiing holiday, whether on or off the slopes.
Driving and vehicle care/maintenance
-Drives guests within resort as required
-On an exceptional basis only, as assigned by the Operations Manager, meet guests at the airport (usually Geneva) and/or the train station (generally Cluses) and transfer them safely to resort.
-Drives safely and responsibly at all times.
-Is knowledgeable about, and complies with French driving/traffic and parking rules and regulations.
-Ensures that all vehicles are re-fueled appropriately.
-Maintains cleanliness of vehicles, including daily clean inside and when required clean outside.
-Completes daily visual inspections of all vehicles, and report and document any damage noticed.
-Supports the rest of the chalet team in ensuring that excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in and around the chalet at all times, including at end of season.
-Complete the maintenance schedule on a weekly basis, detailing the work completed
-Ensure all maintenance items outside the scope of your responsibility are documented and reported to the Operations Manager for review.
