Options BESD require a dedicated Instructor/Teacher (SEN) to join our new DfE registered School opening in early 2017 in Longton, Stoke On Trent. Our BESD division specialise in providing primary and secondary education to children and young people with autism, complex needs, and behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. Salary scale 18,500 p.a. - 24,700 p.a. depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week, with 35 days holiday + bank holidays and company benefits. College Stoke is within commuting distance of Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Crewe, Longton, Stone, Market Drayton, Burslem and the surrounding are, however a driving licence is preferred. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team, responsibilities include: Planning and delivering lessons and activities in a specific subject areaTeaching and leading on subjects/vocational skills and other areas according to the education curriculum planUndertaking tutorial and pastoral responsibility for a group of young people Skills Required: Experience of working with challenging behaviour or similarExperience of planning, delivering & teaching lessonsAbility to deal with complex and challenging behaviourAbility to tailor teaching & learning to the needs of individual students If you are a dynamic, adaptable and compassionate Instructor/Teacher, please apply immediately.
