One of the key positions in our hotel, a good Handy Person is worth their weight in gold. If you have experience in a Trade- plumbing, electrician, carpentry- or have a lot of experience in maintenance and DIY, then this may be the perfect job for you.You will work closely with the Hotel Manager, guests and the rest of the team within the hotel to ensure that all the small maintenance issues are dealt with professionally. This will range from something as simple as a leaky tap to a heating or power issue to unclogging a blocked sink. You should be able to display evidence of being able to work on your own initiative. Without being asked, you will look for things to fix or improve in the hotel wherever you can. When faced with something to fix that youve never dealt with before, the ability to look at problems methodically is key and what makes a good handyman great.As this role is so varied, there will be some quieter days than others; during these times you will be expected to help in in the kitchen, so having a flexible attitude to work and also being a team player are vital. You will play an integral part of the kitchen team, ensuring the cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, assisting with food deliveries and food preparation. Having such a unique work schedule means that often the maintenance team get the most time on the slopes!Whether this is a career change or some time out, Equity are passionate about their staff and offer a competitive package to entice you away from the humdrum of daily life to come and work for us in the stunning French Alps.
