High level office administrators required to deal with all areas of day to day office work. Must be highly computer literate including a sound knowledge of all MS Office applications, especially Excel, Publisher, Word, Power Point and Outlook. An understanding of computer networking would be useful. Good phone manner and confidence dealing with clients is essential. As with all roles at Camp Suisse we are looking for a positive attitude to work and a genuine interest in children and young people. The ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and effectively communicate ideas is essential. You should be a team player who is organized, hard working and easy going. Honesty, integrity and the ability to handle confidential information in a mature and responsible way is essential. Experience required.
• Food prep
• Potwash, including operating industrial dishwasher and washing and drying equipment by hand.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas
• Offer support and assistance to chefs as required
• Preparation of sandwiches and packed lunches
Points to note:
We are looking for catering assistants / kitchen porters to undertake a number of kitchen duties. Most of your shifts will involve pot washing during busy meal services. You must be interested in catering and food preparation. You will work under the guidance of our chefs and may assist in other areas of the kitchen including washing and chopping vegetables and salad, making sandwiches and paninis, serving food to campers.
Personal requirements / characteristics:
Camp Suisse is looking for friendly, well-motivated individuals who enjoy the professional kitchen environment. You must be capable of working on your own initiative in a fast, organised and efficient manner. We are looking for good team players who are easy-going and able to work with a range of individuals. A good knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene is useful, as is experience as a kitchen porter or similar. You will report to the head chefs and a catering co-ordinator.
