At Crystal Ski Holidays we provide the very best ski holiday possible, giving customers great experiences on and off the mountain. And whilst delivering service that’s a cut above the competition. Not only that but we’re going digital, from booking to delivering great service in resort. We make sure every customer goes home happy and thinks only of Crystal when booking their next holiday. That’s why we’re the UK and Ireland’s most recommended ski company.

You’re the key link in the chain between our resort teams and our suppliers. You’ll lead the central Operations Support team for the region to provide crucial support to our resort teams, allowing our customer facing staff to focus solely on delivering amazing service to our customers. The Operations Support team has a broad remit; managing customer support, logistics, company property, compliance, and airport logistics. You’ll take ownership of the team, developing both the people and the processes to deliver a cost effective and sustainable service.

What You Will Be Doing

• Take ownership of company property (e.g. company vehicles/phones/staff accommodation/stationery); contracting/ordering, allocating, and managing stock in line with budgets and company policy
• Manage utility contracts day-to-day, resolving any issues promptly, and maintaining robust relationships with our suppliers so we achieve best possible terms
• Manage company paperwork to ensure our legal compliance and H&S paperwork are completed, logged and filed appropriately
• Work with your team to ensure paperwork generated by resort teams is collated, logged and actioned as appropriate, producing and distributing a variety of reports
• Assist with logistical planning of airport days and be part of the operations team managing a particular part of the airport experience on a Saturday or Sunday
• Develop operational processes for our chalets and reps teams to improve our efficiency, making the most of technology to achieve our objective of being digital by default
• Ensure any operational invoices are processed and sent for payment in a timely manner
• Manage the performance, conduct & capability of the Operations team through ongoing feedback and assessment, developing them with training tailored to each individual
• Ensure your team has a fantastic experience over the season, dealing with staff concerns quickly
• Manage the Operations team rota to maximise support provided to the resort teams and ensure that office standards are adhered to
• Support your team to deliver amazing service, to deal with requests for information quickly and thoroughly, to ensure our customers go home happy
• Adhere to performance management procedures and HR policies to ensure any issues within the operations support and office teams are addressed effectively and promptly
• Provide strong team organisation and management, support and motivate the team to hit targets and deadlines
• Identify training needs and provide ongoing support, enabling staff to reach their full potential

What We Are Looking For

• You’re great at working with other people – with enthusiasm! Building rapport over the phone and in person with colleagues and suppliers, comes naturally to you
• You take the lead in a team situation; you’re not afraid to take responsibility and you enjoy supporting others
• You’re self-motivated and can motivate those around you. You’re great at offering extra support to your team when needed
• You’ve already led a small team in a previous role and you thrive off developing them to their full potential
• You manage your and your team’s time really well and your attention to detail is high, always producing work to a great standard
• You’re organised and able to prioritise your team’s tasks to meet tight deadlines under pressure
• You’re a quick thinker staying calm under pressure; resilient and resourceful when it comes to solving logistical problems
• You enjoy coming up with innovative ways of doing things and seeing projects through to the end
• You’re used to working with technology and are confident working with Outlook, Excel, Word and social media platforms
• You’re confident speaking the relevant foreign language with suppliers on the phone and in person
• You want the challenge of working overseas, like the idea of getting ski time but like the structure of an office role
• You enjoy driving and are not daunted by doing so in snowy conditions
