We are recruiting for an owner led company, who live in the village year round, and are passionate about exceptional service, amazing food & exceeding our guests expectations. They may be small but they have a big reputation and are regularly featured in The Telegraph, The Times, Conde Nast, Harpers Bazaar.

Each and every item within the chalets has been hand picked for the spaces within the chalets. This is the level of detail that we achieve to enable us to deliver an outstanding holiday to our guests. A testament of our success is that nearly 50% of our guests return each year. They come back to us not only for the beautiful chalets and the fantastic skiing in the 3 valleys, but the friendly, hard working and committed team. As a Host, you will have the drive to provide exceptional holiday experiences for every guest; this is a hands on role where you will need to anticipate guests needs & be flexible to tailor your service to each & every guest. Taking pride in your work, and having extremely high standards of work are part of who you are. You will also enjoy working as part of a small team and be well presented.

HOST QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Hospitality professional with a minimum of 3 years hospitality experience
• Proven history of consistently giving exceptional, tailored customer service
• Front of house service experience in fine dining restaurants (AA Rosette or Michelin star) or hospitality experience in luxury/boutique hotels
• Have skied/boarded for a minimum of 3 weeks
• Full driving licence (ideally)
• UK national insurance number & UK bank account

As a Chef, you will have a passion for fine dining food, creative presentation & relish the opportunity to create bespoke menus each week. Being totally customer focused, with a drive to exceed guests expectations & enjoying talking to guests about your food are part of your make up. You will also enjoy working as part of a small
team and be well presented.

CHEF QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Recognised catering qualification (City & Guilds 7061/2, NVQ level 3 or equivalent) or extensive experience
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in professional kitchens in fine dining restaurants (to 2AA rosette/1* Michelin standard or equivalent) having held chef de partie or more senior positions
• Experience designing your own menus
• Front of house experience, demonstrating can build guest relationships & enjoy doing this (you work in open plan kitchen & guests enjoy talking to you)
• Have skied/boarded for a minimum of 3 weeks
• Full driving licence (ideally)
• UK national insurance number & UK bank account

Previous chalet work is not necessary & you do not need to speak French, though this does help.

LOCATION:

St Martin de Belleville, France. St Martin is a beautiful, traditional mountain village, small, friendly and directly linked into the heart of the 3 Vallées ski area. Our chalets are located in Villarabout, a small hamlet 4 minutes drive or 12 minutes walk to St Martin centre.

EMPLOYMENT DATES:

End November 2017 to end April 2018 - includes 2.5 weeks training in resort.
