PROPERTY SERVICE ASSISTANTS or COUPLE
Vaujany Property Service is looking for two enthusiastic people or an established couple to help run a small apartment and chalet management and caretaking business in the exclusive resort of Vaujany, Alpe D’Huez. All Chalets and apartments managed are a mixture of private usage and open rental market.
Vaujany has a true mountain sports focus with an excellent sports complex and a ski domain linked into that of Alpe d’Huez, all located about one hour from Grenoble. The village’s own large cable car can whisk you up the mountain and to connect with Alpe d’Huez. Whilst Vaujany has remained a typical alpine village, it’s a small family focused resort, so this job will suit those who wish to enjoy the mountains and improve their skiing and French.
Applicants must be highly self-motivated and responsible with the ability to work independently or within a team. As this is a small local business, applicants must be reliable, hardworking and adaptable with a ‘can do’ approach to work.
Each position is part-time and is required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday obligatory with fixed hours, the remaining days and hours are flexible to suit yourselves, giving you maximum time up the mountain. An attractive monthly salary (based on the French SMIC equivalent) will be remunerated through the UK, so applicants must be holders of a UK National Insurance number and UK Bank Account. Comfortable accommodation with own private bedroom is also included.
Principal duties include preparing chalets for owner’s arrivals, welcoming of guests into their rental accommodation as well as their departures, accommodation change-overs (housekeeping and laundering of linen) and some general maintenance or ad-hoc duties to attend to. The properties that are being dealt with are considered high end that demand impeccable cleaning standards with meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of the resort will be viewed favourably. Driver’s license an advantage.
The positions will run from mid December 2017 until mid-April 2018.
