This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, confident and customer focused individual who is passionate about winter sports and creative thinking, and able to communicate, motivate and support to a very high level.

Andorra Resorts is a specialist company servicing independent holiday makers travelling to Andorra, providing up-to-date resort information and booking services. You will be leading a small team of two others in Andorra but will be the most senior member of staff in resort, therefore the ability to work on your own initiative and with minimal supervision is essential.

This role is to be our local expert in the Grandvalira ski area of Andorra.  You will be responsible for keeping our websites and social media channels up-to-date with the latest news, writing regular weather reports and sharing information, photos and videos.  A reasonable portion of your time will actually be spent on the mountain collecting data and content, to then be shared on our various channels.  You will also be answering pre-travel emails from customers or potential customers which can involve; quoting for our products and services, converting enquiries into bookings, answering questions about the local area, ski area or facilities or dealing with existing bookings.  You will also be responsible for managing and meeting any group bookings that may arrive into your area and working with local suppliers.

Two days off per working week

Key Responsibilities

  • Spend time in the various ski sectors of the Grandvalira ski area collecting data to write accurate snow reports and taking photos and videos to share over our social media accounts and on our own website
  • Respond to customer enquiries by email and telephone, making sure e-mail accounts are managed correctly and converting enquiries into bookings.
  • To have the resort phone for your area.
  • Manage and provide customer service for your area, which may involve meeting customers (depending on resort).  This will include resolving any complaints that may arise and escalating if necessary.
  • Maintain the information on the series of resort websites with regular updates of key details such as the snow report, news, photos and the forum, to agreed levels.
  • Utilise the Company social media accounts to professionally promote Andorra and the Company as well as the services we offer.
  • Manage effective relationships with all suppliers and stakeholders in your area and attend any meetings which would be beneficial to these relationships.

Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Ski or Snowboard to an intermediate level
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT and communication skills (including social media)
  • Sales experience with the ability to clearly explain products and packages to customers
  • Confident in dealing with challenging situations and long hours when they arise
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Must work in a professional and confident manner
  • A flexible, energetic approach and happy to get stuck in with a variety of tasks
  • Friendly and outgoing with the ability to forge excellent relationships
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Literate and numerate
  • Written English to a professional standard
  • Ability to converse in Spanish would be highly advantageous

Andorra Resorts provide an excellent remuneration package including a competitive monthly salary, accommodation, travel to and from resort, winter sports travel insurance, lift pass for your resort area, use of rental skis or snowboard, and one week of group ski or snowboard school if required.

Andorra Resorts is a small family run ski holiday booking agency operating in Andorra.  We started life in 2007 operating just in Arinsal and have expanded to now cover all the main resorts of Andorra utilising our series of resort-specific websites to provide detailed up-to-date information as well as booking services for all parts of the customer's holiday after their flight.

We're a young and dynamic company, experiencing rapid growth, looking for individuals keen to display a positive attitude to help us continue our progress.  As a small company, the positions we have available are quite varied and will suit people who want to develop a broader knowledge of operations whilst offering excellent customer service and being able to deliver sales results.

Full training and support will be given by the Company Directors who play an active role in the day-to-day running of the company, and although we know from first-hand experience that the positions are demanding, the role involves regular skiing or snowboarding in order to keep the snow report and photos up-to-date.

The social life in Andorra is excellent with a large number of staff returning year-on-year for various companies, and newcomers are made to feel welcome by both workers and local suppliers.  The season starts at the end of November and this year runs until early April.
