Sam and Jon, the owners of More Mountain, still run the business hands on with a team of highly experienced head office staff.  This season we are recruiting a Resort Manager or Management Couple to work closely with Sam and Jon and the MMHQ team.

Predominantly you will be helping to get the best out of our chalet host team with the aim to facilitate a seamless guest experience from the moment they start preparing for their holiday to when the client arrives in resort to the moment they leave.

The Job Itself

As a Resort Manager you will be expected to liaise with clients prior to arrival into resort, manage their requirements before they get here and ensure they receive a service second to none during their stay.

A key part of your role will be man management, in terms of assisting the chalet host team, acting as operational and logistical support to them and providing a helping hand on a daily basis.

As a Resort Manager you will be responsible for :

  • Liaising with and calling all MM clients pre arrival into resort

  • Arranging lift passes and ski hire and ski lessons, dietary requirements for clients and briefing chalet hosts on guest information

  • Meeting clients in resort and gaining feedback

  • Liaising with your chalet staff daily

  • Organising Airport Transfers, liaising closely with our Transport providers

  • Liaising with Ski Hire Companies and Ski Schools

  • Organising Bread and Meat orders and Wine Deliveries

  • Organising Regular Staff meetings & Incentives

  • Driving - Ad Hoc Pick ups and Drop offs with guests to and from the Slopes

  • Emergency Cover for Sick or Injured fellow Staff Members

  • Maintaining and ensuring cleanliness/housekeeping standards are impeccable

  • Assisting with weekly changeovers and deep chalet cleans

  • Overseeeing Hot Tub Maintenance

  • Accounts and Budget Responsibility

  • Shopping & Stock Control

  • Basic Chalet Maintenance

  • Maintaining 5* Levels of Customer Feedback via online review forums

At all times, you are the face of More Mountain, delivering our company promise of a seamless chalet experience from the moment our guests arrive to the moment they leave, making them feel relaxed and welcome.

Candidate Requirements:

We are seeking interesting, dedicated and professional people with a flair for hospitality. What is important to us is a minimum of 5 years working experience in a professional environment, ideally within a client facing role. You must also be educated to degree level.

Ideally you will have already been a resort manager or senior chalet host previously. Perhaps you are looking for a bit more responsibility…. Or simply a change of resort.

We prefer applicants who take time and pride in their work and have lots of "life experience" to share around the dinner table, in the minibus or on the chair lift. A passion for cooking and hosting dinner parties is essential, as is the ability work really well together in what can often be a very pressurised and tiring environment.

You must hold a valid UK driving licence as you will both need to drive an 8 seater minibus around resort and both of you MUST be fit and healthy and MUST have some ski or snowboarding experience.
