RESORT MANAGER

USUAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RESORT/AREA MANAGERS

  • to play a key role in producing and delivering a comprehensive training course for all key departments
  • Open up the resort at the start of the season, open accounts with suppliers implement resort accounts
  • Arrange with owners to open all chalets , produce inventories with chalet staff and ensure chalets ready for guest occupation
  • Recognise the chalet portfolio is a huge responsibility and each individual property needs to be properly looked after, including cleaning, maintenance and up keep.
  • Develop close relationship with guests on a weekly basis to ensure they have their best ever winter sports holiday experience and visit all guests in their chalets each week
  • Effectively manage and oversee your resort team to ensure high team spirit,  leading by example, whilst always maintaining a friendly and approachable nature
  • Implement and oversee systems in conjunction with the heads of department in resort to produce resort accounts, driver, childcare and office rotas.
  • Ensure central stores and ordering systems in place from the start of the season
  • Ultimately ensure all guests receive the highest levels of service from the resort team
  • Maintain and develop good relations within resort with all chalet owners , suppliers and contractors
  • Liaise closely with head office to ensure that resort has all information for guests and double check on a weekly basis
  • Complete all paperwork and administrative duties when necessary to fulfil the requirements of resort and head office
  • Ensure that the resort budget is adhered to and report on a weekly basis all actual figures to head office
  • Produce weekly resort reports for head office on all aspects of the operation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE OFTEN REQUIRED

  • Proven track record of managing people in a ski resort successfully
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent motivational and organisational skills
  • Experience of working with children and families in general
  • Full, clean driving license is essential 
  • Good numeric and administrative skills
  • Exceptionally good attention to detail
  • French speaker is desirable, sometimes essential depending on the client

 

SALARY PACKAGES WILL VARY CLIENT TO CLIENT
