As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef with all the important behind the scenes operations including health & safety, budgeting, ordering & stock control. And just as importantly, they'll work closely with you to train and develop your skills. You’ll be a grafter, a team player and a holiday maker. We are looking for passionate Sous Chefs with creative flair for our Catered Chalets to come and join our team out in the Alps. Our chalets are luxurious properties, and with guests returning each year, Premiere Neige Chefs are a key part of our catering service. You'll be responsible for assisting in creating breakfast, cakes for afternoon tea, canapés and a four- to five-course evening meal. You will also assist in providing a two-course high tea for the younger guests in your chalet. And, of course, between morning service and coming back for the evening you'll be able to enjoy some well-earned time on the mountain with your lift pass and ski/board hire!
Along with catering for Première Neige guests, you will also assist with administrative tasks which will include weekly Chalet Accounts, food ordering and Health and Safety paperwork. You will work closely with a Chef and the Chalet Host who will look after the front of house of the chalet operation. As you will be a key player in the guests' holiday, you must be personable and presentable. We're looking for professional, team-orientated people who are reliable and have a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you'll hold a recognised catering qualification such as NVQ or City & Guild Chef Qualification or have built up extensive work experience in kitchens.
