Seasonal Sous Chef for Langass Lodge
We are looking for a new Sous Chef for our Hotel on The Isle of North Uist, The Western Isles
This is an interesting part of the world where we are fortunate to be surrounded by excellent Seafood and Game, beautiful beaches and crystal clear seas. We dive scallops and collect our own shellfish and butcher local Venison.
This is a seasonal position, from 1st May until mid October 2017, approximately 40-45 hours a week, comfortable accommodation provided and £22.500 - 24,000 pro rata per annum. This position would suit a Chef keen to extend their knowledge of fresh Seafood, Shellfish and Game, who likes to work with a small team. We cook everything from fresh concentrating on seasonal local produce. Opportunities are available in Hospitality for a partner or friend. We are quite flexible and keen to work with a likeminded person who can support our Head Chef.
The successful candidate must be able to:
>Manage the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
>Place orders and manage stock
>Work well as part of a close team
>Be keen to contribute ideas and suggestions with regards to the menu and local produce
>Provide references upon request
>Travel to North Uist prior to start date
>Be available for a phone or skype interview
