Harris and Porter is a recruitment company working across temporary staffing and permanent recruitment. We are rapidly expanding, branching into new areas of business and expanding our office teams.

HAP Recruitment is our temporary staffing arm - covering all areas of temporary staffing; events and festivals, hospitality and market research.

The role is to be a key team member in the recruitment and staffing of temporary events across the UK. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a small, highly-motivated team.

This role is focused on the recruitment, booking, allocation and support of over 200 managers at over 120 events across the UK and Ireland.

For the majority of the time, you will be based in our south Manchester office and will also be involved in working on-site at some of the biggest events in the UK.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationship with existing clients
  • Management of the recruitment & staffing of specific events/clients
  • Interpreting client specifications / requirements
  • Providing direction to Call Handling Assistants and Event Staffing Assistants
  • Assisting/running recruitment days and associated administrative tasks afterwards
  • The building of events on our online database – shifts, venues, transport, confirmation emails
  • Booking of temporary staff for events
  • General administrative duties


HAP Recruitment is a staffing agency covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, specialising in all kinds of non-permanent/temporary staffing recruitment. We handle all aspects of the recruitment process from bespoke pre-site training to all associated logistical considerations. With an ever-increasing database of circa 100,000 quality staff, we work with our clients across many sectors enabling a reduction in staffing costs yet providing the best possible service.

Over the past 5 years, we’ve worked with a wide variety of clients – from large bar operators for some of the largest music events & festivals in the UK and Ireland, smaller boutique operators, festival promoters, high street bars, hotels, conference venues, sporting stadiums, retailers and market research companies.

We provide experienced bar, promotions staff, catering and hospitality staff, managers, cocktail flairers and mixologists, promotional staff, market research interviewers, event staff, and VIP staff.

In 2018 alone we have supplied staff to many sports venues and conference facilities - just to name a few: Lancashire County Cricket, Principality Stadium Cardiff, O2 Arena, Birmingham NEC, Aintree Racecourse, high street bars and private events. We’ve also supplied at many events & festivals including; British Summer Time, Bestival, Electric Picnic, Elrow, Isle Of Wight, RiZE Festival, Leeds & Reading, Festival Number 6, Download, Glasgow Summer Sessions, TRNSMT, Oktoberfest events... We’ve supplied anywhere from 10 to 1500 staff on each occasion.

We have also supplied staff for the following clients Google, Tesco, Samsung, Maplin Electronics, BOSE, Ecco, Cineworld, Boots, FeverTree, Harveys, Bensons, Odeon Cinemas, The National Lottery, Costa, MerseyRail and more!
