Role Summary:

  • To ensure that all guests experience flawless customer service throughout their stay in resort

  • Deliver a consistently exceptional standard of cuisine at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner based on the service / opening schedule for the given week – takes the lead in the creation of interesting and practical menus that will appeal to a range of customers

  • Actively monitors quality and strives to improve catering and hygiene standards

  • Takes responsibility for stock / shopping requirements as well as meeting chalet budgets

Scope of Role:

Customer Service:

  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the chalet

  • Confidently and knowledgeably host guests – answering questions, finding out information,

    making recommendations/suggestions

  • Tailor service to individual guest requirements

  • Feedback any problems and/or concerns and refer any complaints immediately to the Company Directors

    Menu Planning & Guest Liaison:

  • Plan a balanced, varied and creative menu that meets Company Standards, is within the allocated budget – takes input from Company Directors of food styles that should be included on the menu

  • Actively gather feedback from guests about their dining experience and updates the menu to improve quality

    Food Preparation/Meal Service:

    • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner based on the service / opening schedule for the given week – also prepares fresh breads, canapes and petit fours as necessary

    • Ensure each plate is creatively and beautifully presented

    • Prepare staff meals each day as required

    • Maintain high levels of food hygiene during all preparation and service tasks, compliant with

      your Food Hygiene Training

    • Maintain optimum hygiene and cleanliness within the chalet kitchen – completing and

      recording daily and weekly tasks to achieve this

    • Manage the kitchen and delegate tasks as required

    • Maintain the chalet and its equipment to a safe, operational and hygienic standard

    • Be prepared to work in an open kitchen, be observed by guests and demonstrate your passion for food on a daily basis

    • Work with the Front of House team to serve meals to guests

    • Report any matters concerning maintenance/damage/health & safety/food hygiene using agreed procedure

      Team Work:

      • Work as part of the team to host guests, maintain standards of cleanliness throughout the property and to deliver flawless customer service

      • When necessary help with changeover and cleaning tasks throughout the property

        Administration:

      • Complete weekly stock takes of food and cleaning supplies, develop shopping lists and complete shopping as per company procedures

      • Complete food orders as required on a daily and weekly basis

      • Record expenditure and respect budgets in line with company procedures

      • Keep accurate records for guest billing – e.g. wine sales, additional meals etc.

      • Maintain weekly guest diary to contribute to client profiles

        General:

      • Make a concerted effort to minimise any damages and operate all properties (chalets and staff accommodation) as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible.

        This role requires flexibility and completion of other duties may be required at the discretion of the Management Team.
