Job Description

Title Chalet Couple - no cooking / no driving - good french required

 

Duties:

• Meet & Greet in resort in French & English (no airport travel or driving)

• Weekly changeover of self-catered chalets & apartments

• Cleaning

• Weekly bed changing and bedding control

• Maintenance of properties to at least DIY level

• Information and assistance to guests as requested

 

Outline of Role

We are looking for a couple to help run manage range of luxury, self-catered chalets and apartments in Avoriaz 1800 - at the centre of the Porte du Soleil, the world's biggest linked international ski area. You will be working in resort and will take responsibility for ensuring that our guests have a trouble-free holiday and that the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance are maintained in all of our properties.

 

Guests book by the week; you will meet them at the resort entrance, show them to their properties and introduce them to the facilities. Guests are English and French speaking. During the week you will carry out mid-week cleaning in each property, attend to any maintenance tasks that arise and assist the guests with questions regarding the resort. At the end of the week you will thoroughly clean the chalets, change the beds and prepare for the arrival of the new guests.

 

Your Skills

You will have the experience and maturity to manage to represent our company to our high standards and be able cover all our duties between you. You will enjoy working with people and at least one of you will need to speak French to a very good working standard. You will need to be enthusiastic and be ready to put the needs of the guests first. You should be willing to carry out minor maintenance on all the properties.

We expect you to put guests first but, nevertheless, a hard-working couple could expect to have ample time to take to the slopes far more often than those working in catered establishments - there is no cooking, driving or airport travel involved in this role.
